I’m purchasing Auctiva Advanced Plan for One Year even though I barely touched the Trial and I never even placed one Auction on EBay during it.

Soon I will list my first auctions and I need to make a decision about how to place my ads. I know for sure I will not deal directly with EBay due to the complications and fees.
I looked again at Inkfrog and a couple of other services for listing on EBay. I decided on Auctiva for one year and on paying the discounted annual
price in a one-time payment. Here’s why.
EBay is complicated. I know this well. I am a systems person, and EBay sucks as to ease of operation.
Auctiva is easy. I know this based on the steps I’ve taken so far with the site. Everything is easy, intuitive and/or well-explained so far:

Auctiva Auctions looks better than Non-Auctiva auctions. This is down the line as I’ve been searching through auctions for two solid months.
The only exception to this is people who go hog-wild with their Auctiva bells and whistles, making it seem as if the ad is more important that the product being sold.
My auction ads will be plain, readable, complete and succinct.
Auctiva.com is reasonably priced with comparison to everything else I looked at. Not too cheap not too expensive. In the middle…
I’m paying for the year because I am planning to sell for at least a few months. The fee to Auctiva should be all I pay for listings if I have this understood correctly. We shall see.
Auctiva will let me automate similar repetitive auctions easily. I am starting with Hostess Products, Stamps and Recipes. These are the first items I will try to sell. That is my only focus until I get my act together. All of them have a large volume of very similar, repetitive items.
Auctiva will let me relist easily. All three of my chosen items have multiple repetitive items to sell. I hope to automate the re-listings and be able to them move on to a fourth category and etc etc etc…
Auctiva will help me schedule my auctions easily. The timing of when your auction ends seems to be one of the most important things to do right on EBay.
Auctiva will let me easily put a lot of photos without fee. Additional photos are an important selling point.
I can blog about my experience with Auctiva on fitinfun.com and people will care.

So today I spent $99.50 for a one year plan with Auctiva. Now to place an auction….

You think the fee to Auctiva is all you will pay for listings?
Boy, have you got a surprise coming. You are still responsible for all ebay insertion and final value fees.
Hi John – Oh, I know you are right. I was talking about scheduling fees and photo fees. I know I have a terrible surprise up ahead. Here is a post about what I think the costs are so far to sell on eBay.

I will expand that information as I learn it. Thanks for commenting. Sharon
